What is Clear Capitol paying?

If you are in a limited market, CC will pay your fee. If you are in a market with "competition," it will be the lowest common denominator. Appraisal fees have always been about the elasticity of the supply curve.

If only that schedule were current. Any time I see a bid that they send out their fee is only 40% of what is on that schedule for my state.
That is the fee schedule reflecting what Clear Capital is charging the lender for managing the appraisal, nothing to do with the peanuts paid to the appraiser for the actual work.

Anything that they have sent me has had a fee of $270 no matter where it is located.

They bought another company I do work for and wanted me to pay for a background check, I emailed them the one I already had last winter. I cannot afford to pay them, but if they have work I will work for a reasonable fee. I quote nearly all my work because they ALL send me the weirdest stuff. I live in a suburban area too.

Right now is when all the weird stuff roots its head :)

They are sending you the stuff that others have declined. So, you are getting sloppy seconds, for lack of a better term. It happens to me. If you've been working for them for a long time and can give them some good stats for yourself you might be able to talk to a supervisor who can click a few boxes and help you out. Or at least that what happens with me.

Most of the time I quote them my rate and they take it but it is really annoying that they try to lowball everything.
