White is done because its neutral and any buyer can live with it until they decide what color they want to do in their upgrades . Simple as that its just neutral and nobody loves or hates it.

I thought it was interesting that Zillow had quantified color differences in home prices. I thought they would just concentrate on AVM estimations for homes. Stick with that.
It would be foolish for appraisers to use Zillow's figures in color differences for comp adjustments. The idea is that color has different appeal for buyers and I'm surprise Zillow was able to quantified it in exact dollars.
What else is Zillow up to?

White kitchens make the space look bigger. At first my wife wanted white cabinets for our remodeled kitchen but I wanted the classic darker wood cabinet look.
Looks like dark colors coming back.

Wife wants a white kitchen as ours is in the north side of the house and kind of dark. I want a couple tubular sky lights to bring natural light in. Waiting for the recession to hit full bore so competition comes into play from these contractors whom are charging outrageous remodeling fees before pulling the trigger....

When I see a house, I love those tubular skylights. So bright and natural. I even tell the occupant how I like them.

In this area all of the custom homes are black/white/gray. What sort of a simple minded owner must it take to have such an unimaginative color scheme. Oh, yeah, the flooring is all gray wood laminate. Where's the emoji for Puke?

Way too many TV decorating 'ideas'.

Here, the Builders use Luxury Lifetime Waterproof Vinyl Flooring made to look like gray wood laminate. And you must have a giant 'Farmhouse Apron Sink" and white subway tile backsplash. I also think there is also a State law that a large sign with "EAT" or "Gather" must be visible in either the kitchen or dining area. All the magazines have been saying Stainless Steel appliances were out for years, but that's all anyone has, including me. Grey cabinets? Can of paint, lol
