Why pay for 3,6 software

The 3.6 cloud-base system is not "software" in the traditional sense. Rather, it is SaaS / Software as a Service via browser connection. It is an online system for entering data and uploading files (Photos and exhibits). I have all but given up on ACI. I may need to switch to alamode for GPAR work since everything ACI is moving toward "all cloud all the time" in the near future (so I have heard). The desktop "software" for alamode will be useful for legacy workflow for GPAR work.

I tried the Reggora SaaS and it appears to be generally user friendly. If and when I am forced to complete a 3.6, I may use their free SaaS. Maybe

UAD 3.6 software, by itself, probably doesn't deserve to be paid for - unless it is downloadable and you are able to run it on your own machine. Then it probably has some positive worth. How much, I don't know.

As far as uploading appraisal data, it mostly gets uploaded to the GSEs anyway. If the GSEs have a lot of confidence in certain appraisers, those appraisals may wind up being used as benchmarks to compare other appraisals against from time to time. Otherwise, I don't think they necessarily have that much worth, especially in this day and age - except, I suppose, in rural areas or areas where data is poor.

Video games are free to play, but the addon's to advance do add up in costs to the player.
