I do not understand these Covid numbers. For several days out of the past week, they report for my state that only a dozen to 2 dozen people have been hospitalized yet the daily death toll is double that. Makes no sense. Where are they dying? I've heard of no one dying at home of the disease. They get very sick first...end up in the ICU. If that sick most should be in the hospital. It must be rest homes again??? And again, they apparently are lumping all the Covid, influenza, and pneumonia deaths together.

Quite a few people die at home. Some days thats the majority of the deaths, a least here in Oregon. And in Southern California, they are doing something similar to battlefield triage and are sending some folks home who show up at the ER.

I agree, and I would guess it’s a big reason for the lack of trust. If COVID did anything it exposed how poorly we treat our elderly and those who care for them. A conversation needs to be had about this national disgrace.
