Great ideas. Now let everybody know how it is done. Easy to say this and that should be done. You sound like some of the politicians and most of the media. Always telling everybody what needs to be done. But never how to do it. Yea. Gives the states money. We all know how efficient some states are at "redirecting" funds they are given. No evidence of states competing for resources. 17 states saying they are concerned does not make it so. Although I somewhat agree on the Pfizer thing. I do believe the feds are depending on some of the vaccines on the way that are easier to handle and may only take 1 shot. The federal government has already paid for the vaccine and is providing it for free. So I am sure that distribution to the regional distribution sites in each state is included in the cost that is being covered. A marketing campaign by the federal government would probably be minimally effective. Since most of the reluctance to take the vaccine appears to be based on lack of trust of the federal government. Which is actually unfounded as far as the vaccine goes. Federal registry. Similar proposals have been floating around for a while. Not generally accepted by the overall population. The federal government can help distribute the vaccine without looking like a military takeover, please.
1. The states have no money right now and they need billions to distribute the vaccine. There is no funding in the new stimulus to help states.
2. the states will once again be competing each other for resources. the federal government can help coordinate that.
3. 17 states have said they are very concerned with having insufficient supplies to administer the vaccine.
4. The federal government was offered another 100 million doses from Pfizer. They sadie no.. from July until December, now they want more, but can't have it until June or July.
5. This is a national emergency. The federal government should be paying for all distribution and implementation of the vaccine.
6. There should be a federal marketing campaign that puts the message out that the vaccine is safe. It hasn't happened.
7. There is no federal registration for vaccinations. There should be a federal registry.
You are right that the national guard is controlled by the Governors. So if they should use that resource, but don't, then it is on them. But the federal government could be doing a much better job to make sure this is happening.

Exactly. This administration is run by a NYC businessman that has spent his entire career dealing with more red tape than anyone else, other than other real estate developers of large projects in NYC, can possibly imagine. Get the regulations out of the way, and the market takes care of itself very quickly.Sounds as if you're pointing out that this Administration did nothing more than just stay the hell out of the way....![]()
Your ignorance almost exceeds your bigotry. Now i understand this statistic-North Dakota Has One of the Worst COVID-19 Death Rates in U.S. (healthline.com)
A questionable successful ex NY businessman ( I lived in Manhattan during the Trump RE years ), he had numerous BK and business failures, inherited his fathers 200 million company (200 million then would be what now - 500 million?) Articles say if he had parked the 200 million in an investment fund, it would have grown to 10 billion by now. (his worth unknown but most estimates are 1-2 billion)Exactly.
