I just got a email from my hospital saying I was an ‘at risk’ individual and it would be getting in touch for an appointment. Given the difficulty in getting a shot down here, will take them up on it,

Today my wife told me her cousin was tested positive for Covid. I haven't seen her in over 10 years.
She doesn't feel well and not showing serious conditions.
It seems to hit closer to home now that I know someone has Covid.

These findings are pretty similar to what we have seen in Florida. I really feel bad for you folks in states and countries with severe lock down procedures.

23 die in Norway after receiving COVID vaccine

(KRON) — Health officials are looking more closely into the deaths of nearly two dozen people after receiving their first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in Norway.

A total 23 people died within days of receiving their first dose, the Norwegian Medicines Agency announced in a statement.

Of those deaths, 13 were nursing home patients who were at least 80-years-old and were apparently related to the side effects of the vaccinations, according to health officials.

Getting mine on Tuesday. My wife is in healthcare and they have extras. One of the many advantages of marrying a nurse.

I actually posted about this on social media this morning.

NY, where I live, obviously has severe lockdowns, but they are starting to change that policy. One of those reasons is that the state has not been basing their policies on science, and are continually losing in the courts because of their lack of evidence. The other, of course, is the massive hit on the economy, with the double-edged sword of reduction of tax revenue due to lockdowns, and high-wealth tax paying individuals and businesses leaving the state.

Fauci warns of ‘more ominous’ strains of COVID-19 from Brazil, South Africa

He said they’re still determining whether these mutations will be resistant to the vaccines on the market.

Could too much time between doses drive the coronavirus to outwit vaccines?

Paul Bieniasz didn’t mince words in a sarcastic New Year’s Day statement he tweeted. If he wanted to create a new, vaccine-resisting version of the pandemic coronavirus, the Rockefeller University virologist wrote, “having developed a remarkable two-dose vaccine, [I’d] … ADMINISTER IT TO MILLIONS OF PEOPLE – BUT DELAY THE SECOND DOSE. … If we let immunity wane for a little while, say 4 to 12 weeks, we just might hit the sweet spot”—and create a virus that could foil the vaccine.

This says that mandatory stay at home policies and business closures don't have a significant benefit. Interesting indeed. People have said the vast majority of cases are spread within the home. I suppose even when there is a stay at home policy people are traveling to each other's houses?
The study defines more restrictive measures as business lockdowns and stay-at-home orders
It defines less restrictive as mask wearing, social distancing, and smaller gathering limits.
One point they made was that it all had to do with the ability to change behavior. If a population follows the directions from authorities on less restrictive measures then more restrictive measures will not give much added benefit.
They found that less restrictive measures like social distancing, avoiding gatherings, travel bans, and working for home were beneficial. They decided not to address mask use at all.
They also stated that closing schools does not appear to be a good idea because of the cost of keeping kids at home.

Kinda funny when the "science" can't produce "evidence".
Believe the science, trust the government.
