Wonder if any houses in San Bruno had FHA loans?

San Bruno is the community where the high pressure gas line exploded last September. The easement for the pipeline is 75 feet and runs through the neighborhood. I wonder if any of those properties had FHA loans which relied on FHA appraisals?

Its kind of stupid for FHA to rely on appraisers for this kind of info. The location and pressure rating of gas lines is not something that's well published. Much better FHA should maintain their own spatial data base of that kind of feature and just check the addresses against that source. Much more reliable to have one guy in house with the proper tools and knowledge, then to depends on thousands who lack the property tools and knowledge.

San Bruno Tragedy

I have been around a long time, but have never posted.

Laughing cartoon characters at a bottom of a post talking about houses that were blown up in San Bruno is not appropriate. I may be thin skinned about this because a schoolmate of my daughter lost her Mom and her little sister in that explosion. It was a very tragic event and lives were lost.

Houses and whether they have FHA loans on them is the easy part.
