Would Elon Buy the ASC?

This should help, but I'm sure Sadie's going to just keep digging in further...

I remember some spirited threads on this topic about 20 years ago. I was told by a Fannie representative that it was only permissible to refer to Fannie Mae as FNMA when discussing the stock symbol, any other time it was considered coarse, uncouth and disrespectful. From the glare in his eyes I took it to mean if I slipped up and used the term, it would affect my work volume and I took it to heart. Fannie Mae it is, until I become a full time notary public. :)

I haven't seen 'FNMA' signage in probably 2 decades.

Your ignorance on the subject is obvious because Fannie Mae made many statements about using the term “FNMA”. It was discussed in this forum at that time.
"there is no such thing as FNMA anymore" is what Bobby posted. What ever iits nickname is, it is still FNMA (Fannie Mae (the Federal National Mortgage Association or FNMA) is a government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) ). Its the same thing. Nothing has gone away. BTW the Appraisers Forum is not always the best source for information.

And I do believe the good people that work for Fannie/FNMA or what ever you want to call it would extremely suprised to learn that using FNMA in any form other than the stock symbol is uncouth.

All I can tell you is I am compiling a rather lengthy list of violators to submit to Fannie Mae. It is titled the FNMA hall monitor report, 90% of the forum is on it.

Edited: It will be called the Fannie Mae hall monitor report.

considered coarse, uncouth and disrespectful.
I would be ashamed if they thought that well of me. Until I can think of something more derogetory (Geoge vetoed "liars and theives), I will reluctantly have to continue with FNMA.

Just be sure to call them liars and thieves which is an accurate description, calling them "LATS" would be disrespectful. :-)

The problem with tools that voted against DT is not that they opposed DT, but that they are eristic idiots without functional minds and with festering, toxic, hateful personalities that cannot stand themselves, much less any small segment of humanity.

Eristic? That a good new word to learn.

Claude: "Plato used the term "eristic" notably in his dialogues, particularly when discussing sophistry and methods of argument. He used it to describe a style of debate that aims at winning rather than finding truth. For instance, in his dialogue "Euthydemus," he critiques eristic argumentation as practiced by the sophists.

Since this is quite an obscure term and specific historical usage, I should note that while I try to be accurate, I may hallucinate details about its exact appearances in classical texts."

No, Claude is right.

Eristic: "Given to or characterized by disputatious, often specious argument."

A solid characteristic of this forum.

Elon Musk is burning out.

He doesn't know how to take care of himself.

He may be nothing more than a dead bucket. Others are running the show for his business and he is likely mostly an interference.

Elon is having fun now, while it lasts.
Lots of crazy fun with Trump and the rest.
Physics, engineering all in his nest
But lacking control to avoid the pests
Old age encroaches, in virulent tests
