I just received an email from CCIM that says Xceligent ceased their operations. Xceligent hosted the STDB website.

Some may recall they and Costar were in a lawsuit. I was hoping they'd break Costar's stranglehold, but it looks like I'll have to wait for another challenger and another day.

The employees were given 30 minutes notice that the company was closing and to gather their personal belongings and leave the building - wow, that is harsh

It is harsh. But if their coffers were empty, the alternative would be to let the employees show up today with the doors locked, escorting them inside to collect their personal belongings and escorting them out again.
I'd rather have the 30-minutes at the end of Thursday if those are the only two choices (neither one great at any time, but especially not so during the holiday season).
