You say Plat map, I say Plot map

I agree....but to elaborate a bit, I have always thought of a plot map as that which is generally attached to a set of building plans and showing the location of the improvments in reference to boundary lines. It would also shows curbs and sidewalks, driveway encroachment, water, sewer and any underground utility line locations.

I generally refer to this as a site plan.

Here's a parcel map AND a site plan from an assignment I had.
