Yeah, and what difference does it make in the form filling world of abbreviations.

The difference is makes is if you write a clear, understandable report you are less likely to have revision requests. Everyone gets to choose how they conduct their business. I'd rather spend a little extra time getting it right than spend more time fixing it.

I try to write to the underwriter and any civilian reader, in simple english and visual aids to simplify our coded non civilian way of talking.

yes, you have to carry a check sheet or have good drop-down menus. Another reason I happily eschew the form and only do narrative.
