There is some shady stuff going on up in these parts. Be careful and do not appraise in these areas if you are not locationally competent to do so. You know the routine. COD and make sure you keep a hard copy of your report that is date stamped in the appraisal work file.

And finally, Ms. Vasseur. I have reviewed your remarks in the past as well and I have also reviewed many, many of your appraisals in the past couple of years. I have found your work to be of good quality and always felt comfortable when receiving a field review or desk review on something you have done. You have my respect, please give me yours.

Let's end the Countywide Appraisal debacle once and for all.

Mr. Rieber, thank you for the compliment on the quality of my work. I'm a few years into the business but always find myself learning and trying to improve. I believe you may have misunderstood my remark quoted above as being a direct negative reflection on your company. No disrespect to you or your staff was intended. I am sure you are aware we often have a disproportionate amount of "shady deals" especially in the Fallsburg area. My comment was a warning to the original poster regarding geographic competency considering they were not aware of the Countywide name. I wish you the best of luck with your business endeavors.

Thank you. The original poster was merely inquiring about my firm as we had a slight difference of opinion on him performing an appraisal for me in another county. He accepted the order and then by all appearances did some research into my company without doing the full amount of research and then decided not to complete the order 4 days later. Put me between a rock and a hard place with my lender.

And yes, Fallsburg is full of shady deals. As is the Monroe area...haha. I make every attempt to avoid those neighborhoods or I charge one heck of a fee to do them.

Now back to business, with all due respect to you Mr. Rieber, I apologize if you took my comment as stereotyping and felt offended, with all honesty, if you visit the NY forum often, you'll understand that that's what we do here, we are being sarcastic, we kid around, and throw jokes and one another, this is us, this is the stereotype of a New Yorker, ever watch Saturday Night Live? does anybody get offended when they stereotype? Sean....it might be helpful if you fix your AppraiserUSA . Com listing....It shows That the aforementioned Buckles name as the appraiser...along with his 46 # licence....If anything is will help end the association of the Company Name and the Appraiser name...

Takes time fellas...takes time. Working on the directories next. However, I do have no plans on doing a press release in the Times Herald Record Mike. Especially a monthly one. But thanks. There are still tons of clients who like using Bob and still call...I'd rather not give that up. Especially in this market.
