Governor Wolf just shut down all "non-life sustaining" businesses in PA. Its almost impossible to get on the state web site (try WGAL news), but reading through it, appraisers and ancillary real estate and mortgage services are not included in the list of businesses allowed to operate. I have not been able to get to the order itself, but it's wording may only include "offices".

List is here:

As I work from my home office, currently debating if this shuts us down or not, though I have several inspected just waiting to get typed up. Got an order right moments after this was announced. Any input, comments appreciated. The wording which I suppose does/could apply is "activities related to real estate"

Haven't read the order, but I would think anything one could do from their own home would easily be exempt. I think some of this is really over-stepping authority. I note that insurance is no longer allowed to operate. Really? How's that gonna play out? So no renewals, no claims, no new mortgages cause you need proof of policy, etc...

Well they were not going to wait for the Moonship AMCs to look out for their Valued Partners, so the state did something, it seems.
Appraisers, out with hide tanners and coal miners.

"Close physical locations". I don't think that means the inside of your head or computer.

Can we still inspect occupied homes under the close order?

credit intermediation and related activities are allowed
That's the tough one, services related to credit intermediation fine, activites related to real estate not ok.

They should have just done a Venn diagram with all of the overlapping spheres
