Yep. For those not paying attention this is the part where more time on site will be required and if you don't have a virtual assistant from the Philippines typing in standard stuff you will be late before you start. The monumental endeavor will be having to type in every line now in this form, because you won't be able to have a template for the redundant stuff.
The monumental endeavor will be the new amount of time to fill one out, and what new aggravations will come with this form.
No need to kill the appraiser. Make the new form so unbearable that they will kill themselves off. Them we gotta use fannie avm, appraisers all gone, good.
Think that's confusing, imagine the confusion for the AMCs who still demand the 1004MC be included in all assignments. The update and completion reports will be separate reports? This will be confusing, the industry expects them both to be on the same page to eliminate confusion.
I doubt that the forms will prevent the software providers from providing the same "shortcuts" the current software has. As far as those old goats go. I resemble that remark except that new forms and software don't bother me. I've adapted over the years from using an abacus to slide rule to adding machines, calculators, DOS and windows and the associated types of software. New forms and software, Pfft.A question I have about the new form is this, will we be able to at least partially clone prior reports? It will be helpful for specific properties and for particular subdivisions. I've completed about a dozen 1004s over the years and a couple of 1073 condos and it would be nice not to have to begin with a blank slate. I'm going to make a point of going to a live CE course around the time these become mandatory just to hear the old goats wail and screech about the change.![]()
My concern is if it will restrict duplication which is a shortcut I always have liked, importing neighborhoods, comps, photos, templates, etc. The fee shop I started out in had an abacus, we used it to derive fireplace adjustments to establish the original list.I doubt that the forms will prevent the software providers from providing the same "shortcuts" the current software has. My edit: But I would take your course for the same reason you posted
