Appraisal Institute Accused of Covering Up Sexual Harassment and Test Flaws

Name a good AMC. Name a good highly ethical guy that’s run an AMC. Name one that’s ever run an AMC.

I recall taking an AI class and the instructor wasting an hour making excuses for AI leaving TAF, turned out he was the architect of that withdrawal.
One reason I heard for that conflict was that AI was complaining about it being a conflict of interest for TAF to compete with its own sponsoring orgs in selling education of any type. I'm not a member of the AI, so I am not familiar with all their reasons, but if this was one of them then I think they have a point. TAF shouldn't be competing with its own sponsors in selling education courses.

Trade groups​
Religious groups​
Families​
Friend groups​
Appraiser's Forum​

Human nature. We can't live with, can't live without. Especially when there is some benefit to be gained from acting in our own interests vs the interests of the group.

There are at least 4 on the AF but I'm not naming them so you can just take shots at them and get me in trouble with the owner of the AF. If you don't know who they are by now your not real sharp or haven't paid attention over the years.

Steinley: During the time that I’ve served on the executive committee the last three and a half years, I believe I’ve helped the Appraisal Institute move forward in a number of key areas. For starters, we have a new CEO. We engaged a professional search partner and completed a nationwide search to identify Cindy Chance. As the new CEO, she’s made a tremendous number of changes in her first seven months including needed modernizations in staffing and reorganizing the entire business enterprise to be more efficient and better serve our members and chapters.
