Good point. Or it could cause a lot of appraisers to do what I did (just as the pandemic boom hit), reject AMCs all together and go after the clients who just use portals or direct appraiser contact, actually have 3 clients like that and they are my favorite.AI might be optimistic based on the depressing amount of fear seen here from the traumatized AMC fee appraisers, which is sad to witness. I hope they can overcome it as this is a rare moment to fight back against the vastly subpar fees paid out by AMC's.
Let’s be honest. The new UAD 3.6 will do away with the need for appraisers taking comp photos. That will be the out for the AMCs to not raise fees. Will not be surprised if they even lower them.
