Anyone complete a UAD 3.6 report ..... yet

Sure hope you are right ! - I took a UAD3.6 class about a month ago and the instructor said something different. I was told "at the site" with a lap top interior inspection with ceiling height....sure hope you are right.
Isn't it pair for the course regarding this terrible UAD 3.6 roll-out ?

I am sticking with my old way of inspecting and measuring. Using a tablet as your data collection devise will take longer in the field, although it may save time overall. I however, do not want to spend any longer than necessary in someone's house, and I can guarantee you the who ever let you in wants you gone as soon as possible. Do your job and get gone.

Ill be honest. I hope all of the software companies come out with a cubi casa like solution..

The monkey is off my back. If the Pcr inspectors can get away with it. So can I.

Try cubi casa out on your home. Easy....

Alamode has scan to sketch...sorry, but not that good.

Several other companies are coming out with cubi casa like products. I'm hoping for a get it now and not having to send it out and wait product and that is editable..

We have to measure interior ceiling height, but we can do that with a laser pointer measure or a similar device on our iPhone. We can use a tape or whatever method works for ANSI for SFR and whatever works for interior measurements in a condo.

To the best of my knowledge, we can not be forced to use a mobile app or Lidar - (unless it becomes a requirement but I have not heard of it being a requirment )

I am wondering what ceiling height they want if the room has a vaulted, cathedral or tray ceiling

It really doesn't lend itself well to anything other than a standard ranch house. So many homes have a variety of ceiling heights and styles. Maybe if F/F are overloaded with data, they will do away with the extraneous BS. Just another way to tell no actual appraisers had any say in this.

I have double checked this. There is no requirement to use the mobile app. But boy is ACI sure pushing that, hard. They do acknowledge that it will take longer in the field, but "trust me you'll love it and there will never be any reason to go back out to a property because you missed something". That was their selling point. I have been appraising for almost 30 years and can count on one hand and have fingers left over the number of times I have had to go back out to a property. So not sold. All the tedious box checking will be done while the homeowner is breathing down your neck.

Yes I know lots of you love the mobile app, but look at all you will know have to do. It is incredibly tedious and pointless. I don't know if you can do some of it in the field and some in the office, I bet you can. But right now, with ACI, its difficult to advance through the "form" without all required fields being filled out.

Whether one checks all the boxes in the field or at home, it takes the same time. The main time is not only checking the boxes, but hunting down the info to check the boxes. And we still have to do additional measuring, whether with a tape, lidar, an app, or other means.
