I don't care what color or race or creed someone is who holds alt right extreme views are...imo such extreme views means a person is unbalanced.

.Carson ( and Thomas ) happen to be black. It is my opinion that Trump wanted to have a black person on his cabinet, (since his cabinet lacks minorities or females ), and so he chose Ben Carson for his far RW leanings, even though he is unqualified for the job . I don't see how that is playing the race card, I'd make the same comment about Carson no matter his race...I fail to see how being a brain surgeon qualifies a person to head HUD. ( I made similar comments about Trump white appointees who are unqualified for their agency posts.)

Explain how much more qualified the Obama appointees were/are.

I commented that Trump picked billionaires for key cabinet posts, who are also either unqualified, or exteremly light on qualifcations compared to other highly qualified people . I said he picked these billionaires to enrich him/his family as a reward for their posts, as these posts allows them to cut deals that will vastly increase wealth of oil/gas companies.

Is that playing the billionaire card? I'm calling it as I see it . TRump is making some horrible cabinet choices for various reasons. Carson though unqualified for HUD with any direct experience might turn out to be one of the better choices.

It was meant to describe's Trump's motivation in casting about to find a minority person fora cabinet position. If Carson was picked as surgeon general, or to head a health dept I'd say great. But the fact is that he has no experience running a gigantic Federal housing agency.

Did Trump have some other reason for picking him? I don't know. Why not pick any one of a number of brain surgeons?

I don't have to justify Obama;s choices just because you asked. You can make your own decisions about Obama's appointments.

I am commenting on Trump's appointments. Any possible motivation about including a minority on his cabinet aside, which may be speculation on my part, the fact remains that Carson has no experience or qualifications relating to the department he will be heading...making him fit in well with a number of Trump's appointments. The criteria for a cabinet position seems the less experience for that position, the better. Being a billionaire helps, or having a rabid RW outlook, what other qualities some of these people have relevant to what they will be doing escapes me.
