Why not ask me directly what I meant? I'm right here for you to ask. Since you did not bother to ask me , I'll explain. My comment about token was not a denigration of Carson. It was meant to describe's Trump's motivation in casting about to find a minority person fora cabinet position. If Carson was picked as surgeon general, or to head a health dept I'd say great. But the fact is that he has no experience running a gigantic Federal housing agency.

Did Trump have some other reason for picking him? I don't know. Why not pick any one of a number of brain surgeons?

You said what you said...you called a brilliant neurosurgeon a token because he happens to be black and there was no need to ask you what you meant because it is very clear exactly what you meant. If you think that someone with Dr. Carson's high intellect is not fully capable of quickly learning everything he needs to know about federal housing policy especially since he is a child of the projects, then you really don't have a clue.

Wow, just WOW. In my decade of being a moderator on this forum I have shut down some threads dealing with racism, I only remember one example of someone calling our president a racist; that was about two months ago. That person has not posted since as far as I can tell. In this case it is calling our soon to be president a racist with a token appointment.

The election is over, some are happy, some are angry. and many are very cautious/worried. We got through it on this forum with multiple threads being closed.

There is nothing wrong with talking about things that will affect our industry and national economics. Pulling out the race card is something that cannot be tolerated.

For those that think I have political views, I do. The last person to do this was a "Republican" just so no one will accuse me of being biased.

The political rhetoric needs to stop.
