ACI just down or out of business

I bought an alamode Total license last week and it is working fine. I am keeping ACI for now due to having used it for a long time - I was one of their first customers back in the day.
My company was an early customer as well. I believe our client code is in the 300's. This may be the final straw however to jump ship. Still waiting to hear back from Alamode / Total about their free trial. I'm guessing they're overwhelmed with requests ATM.

You would think ACI could provide a standalone web site or tool to convert the files into XML or ENV since everything else has a work-around. Perhaps no such tool exists; perhaps no alternate web site is possible. How is one to know when ACI won't provide a word of communication.
If I recall correctly, older versions of Ala Mode used to have the XML conversion built into the program (Athena and Aurora). You didn't need an internet connection or current subscription to create an XML file. I'm not sure if ACI was the same...

The latest version of Total, along with most other form report providers it seems, forced the XML conversion to a web based system, thus creating a requirement to have an up to date subscription in order to work.

I remember during the '08 recession, not having the extra money to renew my Alamode subscription, but was still able to complete the very few assignments I was getting by doing everything manually for a couple of months after the Silver Membership had expired. Flood maps, location map, etc... were all done, and are still able to be done manually if needed. Not XML, they all seem to have taken that ability away to force the yearly subscription fee...

Sitting here thinking about this. If this cyber attack has done so much damage to this banking entity, what will happen when the bad guys finally target, in a concerted effort, our electric power infrastructure.

Possible help from another forum:

“Hi everyone,

Freedom will be adding a free convert pdf to xml on its website later this week. ACI users can use it as often as they need to, in order to get past this crisis. There is no charge, no sales pitch, no obligation.

Just an appraiser helping out other appraisers.”
Please keep us posted on this possible development. By Freedom, do you mean Google Freedom ??

The only excuse I may accept from ACI for the total lack of communication is that the FBI put a lid on them. If that is the case, it's much more serious than just a cyber attack. Otherwise, there is no excuse. I'm sure at this point they are losing appraisers by the minute....

Just need a tool to convert the ACI to THE PROPER XML FILE....anyone ? anywhere? does this exist ?

You would likely like them. You know corelogic owns them now.

I like them. They have real good technical support.

It takes a little while to learn but not long. I have the cheapest route with them.

They have all kind of training videos on their website and free (not really) online seminars sometimes. Their website will answer about any question you have. You don't have to call tech support most times.

You pay for it in you annual subscription so it is not really free.

Called Freedom to check on this rumor....stated yes, they will have a conversion tool, but not until Feb 1....um...okay.....NEXT!
There must be a communication gap. The message I posted is from the owner/developer, not sure why he would post "later this week" but push back to Feb.

A little clarification, the Software is launching Feb 1, per the owner/developer the converter will be a link on the website. I'll try to post when the link is posted. Hope this helps.

ACI was up and running this past Saturday as I did send an appraisal report to my client
