ACI just down or out of business

It's funny how nobody is cursing out the hackers..the people who actually caused this situation. The entire industry is running around frantically focused on self survival instead of banding together against the true enemy...but not surprising because that's what humans do best.

I got it yesterday- completed 4 reports so far-- you can take a XML from ACI software (say a from a file in same neighborhood you completed) and merge it into the SFREP software kinda like cloning- still need to add license and do sketch but 4 reports in 24 hours was not too bad thought it was going to be much worse-- Good luck

The thing I prefer from ACI is having the automatic adjustments on the same page as the grid rather than that separate document that SFREP has.
SFREP also does not have a weighted average feature which I use once in a while.

What about the sketch program? I am accustomed to Apex 7.
Are you able to open 2 SFREP reports at once?
How exactly are you merging the XMLS.

How much did they credit you? $300 or the full amount?
They credited me the full amount minus the few days since I purchased it. So if I would have purchased it in October the credit would have been less. Thankfully I only lost like $30

You can use Apex 7 with Appraise-It Pro. Let the sales staff know you need the Apex integration added to your account (it's free, they just need to know you're an Apex user to add it).

You can open multiple instances of Appraise-It Pro and have a different report open in each. Either double-click the Appraise-It Pro icon again to open it again, or go to File and click New Window.

Appraise-It Pro treats MISMO XML files like a regular report file, so if you want to pull data from an existing MISMO file into a new report, just have that report open then go to Home, click Import Forms or Import Comparables, then point it at your MISMO file. It can read any of the info from the main form plus the comparables from the XML (not photos or other addenda though -- will have to copy and paste those in separately).

Also, not quite what you might be used to with ACI, but you can have your comp grid open on one half of the screen and your adjustments addendum open on the other half so you can look at them together. Have your comps up, then double-click on the adjustments addendum to open it. At the top of the view, click and drag the adjustments tab. You can either let go anywhere to pop it out into its own window, or you can drag it down to the sort of plus-shaped control that appears in the middle of the view while you're dragging the adjustments tab around; if you drag it down to the right side of that plus-shaped control and let go, it will put the comp grid on the left and the adjustments on the right. (Kind of hard to explain in text; if you can't figure it out you can call tech support and one of them will remote in and show you.)

I tried that. I was accused of defending ACI

ACI still not working as of this afternoon. I'm losing money left and right.

I think it finally time to buy new software. What did you guys switch to?
Last week I bought an alamode Total license and am very happy with it. Yes, there is a learning curve, but I was able to handle it with a minimum of aggravation. Of course I was motivated to get reports out - hunger is a great motivator. ;)

How long was the learning curve and how big of a difference was it between ACI?

On Friday freedom appraisal will have a xml conversion for ACI available at no cost. Glad I don’t have to wait much longer.

Due to the pressure of getting out reports that were already typed and ready to transmit, and having to retype them all into Total, it was a fast learning curve borne of necessity. There is a fairly big difference in the way you start a report in Total. If you watch the tutorials you will be able to handle it quickly. One of the dumbest aspects of Total is that it requires a selection of UAD XML reports as opposed to ACI defaulting to that kind of file. Total offers a 1004 and also offers a 1004 UAD compliant. It's something to pay attention to when starting a new report. I learned that the hard way.
