I know you don't vote. Didn't realize you didn't follow the news as well!

I know you do vote. I also know that you have no understanding of science to know a lie from the truth. News is, COP21 has failed and the U.S. is complicit for refusing to agree to a legally binding agreement.

What? you finally got around to noticing "thepeoplescube.com" on the cartoons? Aren't you brillant. Humor is what humor mocks. That means you are humorus. :rof:
Cartoons are cartoons genius! Posting an unattributed insulting blurb (which you do frequently) from a satire website is the issue; I suspect that you thought it was real. But then I suspect that's where you get most of your material as most of it is comedic!

BTW, never been call "brillant" before. "Humor is what humor mocks?" That comment makes no sense.

Finally! the REAL news from Paris (COP21)

Comrades, as you know the KKKoch Brothers-infested "news" organizations of the USSA will never tell us what is actually happening in the world.

Fortunately, today I ran across a true People's news site that tells the Truth™, i.e. the Politically Korrekt Truth. Here, Comrades, is what is actually happening at the Paris Global WarminskClimate Change conference:

World Socialist Website: Paris climate talks accomplish nothing

I regret to inform you that it's mostly bad news. The Capitalists are pretty much getting their way.

The United Nations climate change summit commenced this past Monday with 150 heads of state and tens of thousands of representatives from national governments, businesses and the NGO industry converging on Paris. Despite its supposedly historic significance, the 21st Conference of Parties, or COP 21, promises little more than the previous 20 failed annual conferences.

Regardless of whether a final agreement is reached, the most ambitious scenario demonstrates once again the inability to address climate change in any meaningful way under capitalism.

The centerpiece of negotiations in Paris consists of formalizing voluntary commitments to limit carbon pollution by individual countries made over the past several months. Yet even if every pledge is fully enacted, with all national sources honestly accounted for, global emissions would remain on a trajectory to increase global temperatures relative to pre-industrial levels by an average of 2.7C by century’s end. During the 2009 climate conference in Copenhagen, national governments resolved to remain below the 2 degree threshold, beyond which scientists caution catastrophic impacts are possible.

The agreement under discussion in Paris, however, would not legally require any country to actually achieve their targets. Instead, the most that is acceptable to the Obama administration and other major world leaders is a procedural obligation to pursue nonbinding goals. As economic or political conditions change, governments are free to revise or renege upon these commitments.

Nevertheless, politicians and pundits are playing up the summit as a potential turning point for climate change. “Never have the stakes on an international meeting been so high,” remarked French President Francois Holland in the opening plenary. German Chancellor Angela Merkel added, “Our very future as humankind hinges on this. ... Billions of people are pinning their hopes on what we achieve here in Paris.”

Notwithstanding the rhetoric, there is no denying that the expected agreement falls woefully short, even in its ambition, of what is scientifically necessary to protect humanity from the worst consequences of a warming planet. Justifications that such is the limit of what is “technically feasible” or “politically practical” only serve as an indictment of the economic and political setup.

The industrial capacity exists to transition to entirely renewable sources of energy within a matter of a few decades or less, as a recent study by Stanford researcher Mark Jacobson concluded for the United States. However, the level of planning and coordination on an international basis needed to implement such a transition comes into immediate conflict with the division of the world into rival nation-states and private ownership of the world’s productive resources.

Agreement concerning something that you contend doesn't exist! Such postings are how you earned the "Duncan" label.

That there was an open and honest discussion about a very real problem is a sign of success that you fail to grasp. But then you are brighter than all of the governments that participated as you knew that the "problem" they were addressing didn't exist!:eyecrazy::rof:

Hilarious how you try so hard to smear a cause that you maintain doesn't even exist. Perhaps President Hillary will be able to convince you of the error of your ways!

We know that what you believe has nothing to do with reality. You can't answer the questions why predictions don't match reality which means you know nothing. Your only defense is ad hominem.
So you get it back in return.

Show me the company you keep and I will show you the real person.

Predictions don't meet reality? Higher average temperatures, rising sea levels, ............... What' s the diff, you choose to ignore the reality anyway.

Judge me by my company but I sense that you are a real loner. And a sad one who attacks me as he accuses me of attacks. Get back on your meds Duncan!

Obama_Im_Not_Insane_Speech.jpg

Reminiscent of Richard Nixon's "I am not a crook" statement, President Obama's "I am not insane" address to the nation was meant primarily to reassure Americans that he is not, in fact, insane.

The President delivered his "I am not insane" speech days after his prior inadequate address to the nation had failed to calm the country's fears of the terror threat, but instead had caused many Americans to doubt President Obama's ability to distinguish between fantasy and reality.

"I was watching him speak when it finally hit home that Barack Obama isn't simply wrong about everything, but he is actually incapable of distinguishing reality from what he wants to be true," said one area woman after watching the President's address to the nation. "This man needs help and we need a real president. It is seriously dangerous to have someone who is not sane run the White House."

It was after the White House research team discovered that this woman's words expressed the feelings of the overwhelming majority of Americans that President Obama delivered his second address to the nation from the Oval Office, titled "I am not insane."

In his speech, Mr. Obama tried to reassure the nation that he is not insane and blamed this unfortunate misconception on George W. Bush, Republicans, climate change, and bad advisers who are completely, utterly, and certifiably out of their minds.

While most TV channels declined to broadcast this Obama's speech, the transcript is available at www.WhiteHouse.gov.
