Allegations of Appraiser racism

Your county must be one of the few Exceptions
It is hard to have 11% in a county where 1.8% of the population identifies as black. Many towns I work exceed 20% Native American, some approach or exceed that as Hispanic. Often you can't tell. But the real problem is, why do we assume that the lack of diversity is by definition, "racism"? No one of any color is prevented from taking the classes, finding a mentor and pursuing a career as an appraiser. I've never had a a "person of color" apply for a trainee. I bet that is the experience of most appraisers.

arent the chief appraisers the ones who set appraisal policies for their bankster employers?

selective quoting is for the birds :rof: :rof: :rof:

why no waivers for these borrowers? high priced mortgage?:rof::rof::rof:

Think of a Collage of Pictures - They typically are not in any specific order and are seemingly random collection -

"What collage offers artists that cannot be found in flat work alone is the opportunity to add commentary through familiar imagery and objects. It adds to the dimension of the pieces and can further illustrate a point.

They simply are collecting bits and pieces of evidence to support the claim of inequity(not just appraisals).

This is why we have not and will not see the four or Five Appraisals that have stirred up a Hornets nest.

The Whole profession has been charged and the accusers do not have to prove anything. Essentially we have to prove we are Innocent. BUT we can not look at the evidence.

Does that make any sense?

What does any of that have to do TAF, appraisal standards, or allegations of appraiser misconduct?

Is there an allegation that these neighborhoods aren't getting waivers at a commensurate rate as other neighborhoods?

you telling me and i agree sometimes calling bluffs is a hard thing to do. but they are banksters so odds are in my favor. :rof: :rof: :rof:

Even setting aside any possible untruths in these allegations, how can we fix a problem we haven't identified? How can we measure any improvements if we can't see where we're starting from?

An effective solution for a "2% of all appraisers are acting with implicit bias" problem will look a lot different from a solution for a "40% of all appraisers are acting with implicit bias" problem.

An effective solution for
"7% of the appraisers in the following 6 metros are acting with implicit bias at the much higher rate than these other 20 MSAs" will look different than "7% of appraisers are acting with implicit bias".

That is, if anyone cared about actually fixing the problem as it exists. Which everyone should care about actually fixing the problem.
