Anyone Going To Valuation Expo ** Las Vegas In August ?

Some here might find that will get their feathers ruffled, but you were already mad , and it seems that the industry is moving past y’all for their own good instead of trying to reason with ya.

the cheap and fast are tired of trying to reason... :rof:

Did you pick up any new clients?
Not that I didn’t already have, but a lot of great conversations with a swath of appraisers from around the country.

Definitely picked up tips and tricks for expanding non lender work from them, and almost got a client out of people from DHI mortgage, but they are saturated with appraisers on their direct panel for now. But at least got my feet in a few doors

Though I was gonna leave Vegas, but weather on our approach to phoenix made us have to turn back and refuel to try again

So recap of day 3 CE from me is coming tomorrow when I’m actually home and more awake

Glad to read you were able to connect with a few indie appraisers. As far as the panel, unfortunately at this point in the business cycle I would guess any panel worth getting on is saturated. Getting non lender work is worth the effort, it has it's own challenges but is 100% better than AMC work. Good luck.

This is an interesting thread. Valuation Expo, work, vacation, a bit of both. To each his own, but I must wonder about looking forward to going there unless you work for a company that requires your presence. For those of you who don't have to go and are there just to learn more about the appraisal industry I've got to ask. When you do finally take a few minutes to relax poolside with an adult beverage, are you reading Henry Harrison while soaking up the rays?
I like the mention of Henry Harrison!
