Anyone interested in appraisal forms in Excel?

Hi there, I just started working on a fillable 1004mc. Maybe I'm wasting my time if there is one out there already. I have ACI and really don't want to pay to get it.

That's one reason right there that some appraisers might have use for such files.

If your MLS has a statistical analysis feature and export capabilities you could probably build some field transfers onto that spreadsheet that would auto-populate parts of that form. That would be a real time-saver.

I have also been working on a fillable 1004MC form using Access. Here is what I've been able to do so far. The numbers are calculated in Access and automatically put in the report. The text fields and check boxes are input using an Access form. If any errors are found in the form, tell me so I can fix them. Some of the numbers were changed to test for errors when zero sales occurred in a period.

Looks good, I have to learn more about Access. I didn't even know about it until this thread.
Does Access auotfill into your software or did you rework the 1004MC?

I recreated the 1004MC from scratch as an Access report. The page could be inserted into a report as a pdf file or you could re-type the whole thing in Wintotal.

I can't believe I just found this thread. I would be interested in helping if I can assist. I was just thinking about starting on an automated report template in Word Perfect. My main objective was to develop a commercial and farm report. I'm just getting into the commercial field after 12 years of residential, but have assisted with commercial for years. I've been using Word for the past 10+ years and would have to re-learn everything for WP. I just hate Word. It would be great to have something to start with. Does anyone know what ACI is going to do with Appraisal Studio? We use the farm reports quite often (although probably not a huge demand for it nationwide).

I'm willing to pay someone for the new form, ACI wants me to buy a maintenance contract for 400 bucks for the new one. I'm cheap, don't want to go that route. Anybody have one in Excel?

I know that some people already have their own versions, but aren't interested in distributing them due to liability concerns and other perfectly good reasons of their own.

If nobody else wants to put their's up for general distribution, I'll write one up in Excel and make it available to anyone who wants it. I might even take a swing at converting it for use in OpenOffice so that nobody has to buy Excel.

Okay,

I spent a couple hours this afternoon and did up this version of the 1004MC form in Excel. I intend to make this available to anyone who wants it.

I'd like to send this out to a couple of you to check out and debug prior to sending a bunch of these out, so if you'll PM your email address to me I'll shoot you a copy.

Anyone know of an easy way to post the XLS file up on a website so people can pull it off at their leisure?

George,

You should try a website like www.box.net

They have a free file sharing website to upload and share documents, etc.

You can also limit access to certain people or by folder. I've used it free for a couple years to distribute pictures and files.

Hello George,

I Would Like A Copy Of Form.

Will Try To Do Some Math On It -so If, A Big If, A MLS Can Export Data Into It It Will Crunch.
