Appraisal Institute Accused of Covering Up Sexual Harassment and Test Flaws

It’s an organization that deserves to go down in flames along with TAF.
At this point, much like the Catholic Church scandal, the only justice will come from the legal and court system. The members who care aren't in a position to do anything. The bylaws do not allow a grass roots effort to remove anyone much or less change the leadership structure in Chicago. I heard a few whispers that an effort would be made at LDAC, but in the face of being branded heretics the effort quickly died.

The only way forward is the board. The board can call a meeting and vote him out, but they can't get a quorum together because of his and REVAA's influence. So like many Catholics I know, they will condemn in private but still attend mass and send money to Rome because that's their identity and it's more important to them than what has happened to someone else.

I wish everyone luck, I'm switching gears. Suddenly the Baptists don't look all that bad.

Speaking of TAF, when the new trustees are announced connect a few dots. Then ask yourself "Are boots on the ground appraisers even in the game anymore?"

They never were on the residential side and that goes back to my first attendance at meeting's back 30 years ago.

It's always been a MAI club which is fine because they missed the residential side and neglected it and it's too late to embrace it successfully, unless they embrace the AMCs and Reeva type of organizations .

That's a decision voting members have to decide. Not by or through lawsuits and Op Ed hits in the New York Time's

I'll let you in on a secret, the members do not vote on anything at national, and at the state chapter level only if the chapter allows. My chapter, through a committee, nominates a secretary every year who rides the chairs up to president. The ballots are sent out yearly with only one name per seat to vote for. Crazy ain't it?

Yes and no. Sounds similar to our broken two party democracy.

The AI is a representative form of governance. They like in our elections vote for a chosen canidate and have no real say.

But to play the devils advocate if the AI was a pure voting democracy it would implode because appraisers rarely look at the big picture and will die on a Principle or Cause that frankly isn't worth dying on.

Appraisers are ungovernable, and they have to have a king or dictatorship to keep them in line.

But in my opinion the residential needs
to be split off and a seperate organization formed.

The MAI and SRA are like trying to mix oil and water. It's never been successfully done because they both have entirely different agendas.

Wow, I just listened to the podcast. The AI REVAA, AARO, and TAF are criminal organizations. Steinley suggesting a threesome? REVAA firing Dr. Chance. When will the DOJ and IRS step in to sort out this chaos?

Never it's a internal battle not a DOJ or IRS one.
