Appraisal Institute Accused of Covering Up Sexual Harassment and Test Flaws

Every appraiser needs to write the DOJ and FTC and demand an investigation into this mess. Again, I see this as a diversion away from Class Valuation and their private equity partner, Iron Grid. The degradation of appraiser integrity from the top down suggests more use of AVM's, hybrids and other data mined products. A federal investigation may very well hold up any sale of Class / Iron Grid. Comments?
It is just hard for me to believe.

I wonder how many officers and/or staff of the Appraisal Institute have stock or options in Class Valuation or Iron Grid? This is the FNC / First American thing all over again. Cha-Ching!!
I can reason some things. I just can't reason others. I am listening to you. I have always respected your posts. :)

And I like the lady that they fired that was wanting change in the residential side of appraisal. Got her fired.

If we want hear anything out of you, we will ask you. STFU.

Okay, we will fire you now. You are not following company rules and being insubordinate to company policy.

what is done in darkness...will come out in light :giggle:
I thought that on commingling of fees on truth in lending disclosures and had many discussions with Ms. Joan Trice if you recall. Maybe she was peeing in bushes.

These other things going on like are a different animal. If you work here, you are expected to follow company policy. Do you understand? Okay.

Have to admit, pretty funny.

Back to the OP. Mr. Handsley is still standing tall. I don't have high hopes anything will change at national, REVAA has too much influence and the culture of favors runs deep.

To be fair, they should conduct a full investigation first. There hasn't been enough time since the article--not really. But at the same time, they should move quickly. There are two items in the article that, to me, make it appear likely that Steinley is probably guilty: 1) the fact that there are a dozen accusers. At some point you have to wonder... and 2) the parenthetical from the author where she reads the texts/emails and makes a conclusion that he's probably at fault. I don't think she would go that far if it was questionable.

Anyway, the truth will come out soon enough.
