Appraisal with pets?

28 years and never a problem with a dog. If they want to crate them. That is ok with me. But I personally do not like caging pets. Unless it is absolutely necessary. Some dogs just do not like strangers. But if they are friendly I see no reason to I usually have a couple of dog treats in my pocket. I have had numerous owners that are mystified why their normally shy dogs seem to like me. Even if I forget the dog treats. As far as small dogs go. I have 5 ankle biters of my own. So I am used to walking around with small dogs under foot.

Watch out for bunnies they have sharp teeth. I had a pair that would randomly attack your legs. I never could figure out why, but always thought of Monty Python.
Those killer hamsters also have some sharp teeth.

Today I encountered a killer bunny rabbit.. It must have been because the owners left it in the yard when they moved and the neighbor took it in rather than let dogs kill it. You gotta be sorry to abandon a bunny rabbit. It was brown and white and it didn't attack me since it was distracted by a leave of lettuce.
Aren't they a nuisance in the yard, digging holes in the yard?

Never known rabbits to be diggers. Unless they are creating a hutch. Now my Jack Russell Terrorist can really make a mess of my back yard when she hunts for moles. I don't know how she does it. But she somehow knows where to dig.

Years ago I left my dog with a relative in Napa while I went on vacation.
When I came back, I heard my dog dug a hole under the fence and went to neighbor's yard with a pool.
Later, the next door neighbor contacted my relative if the dog in the pool was his (no water in pool).
Was my dog trying to escape and come back home?
