Appriasal Institute Online Classes?

A friend and I challenged a class years ago at a class site. We got there a day early and sat out in the hallway listening to the course review. It really helped when taking the exam, and when the teacher saw what we were doing, she only charged us 50 bucks.

Just wait until the powers to be find out your educational hours aren't what they require...bye, bye on-line programs.

I appreciate your statement on that Mr. Garrett. I hope you appreicate that I resent sitting in a CE class for 8 hours to be taught 30 miinutes of meaningful information. And I believe my statement can be applied to 80% of the CE classes available. So maybe the powers that be should first begin to review all the live classes first as they have been around for review far longer than any on-line class has.

I was looking at the designation requirements.

Do all, some, most of the classes have to be taken through AI to qualify for the designation? All my BE classes were through non-AI sources, and I took the Report Writing class from a local guy.

If you are Certified the 'basic' courses are waived.

The remainder of the designation courses must be completed through the AI. Although you may challenge the courses by taking the exam.

Sorry for repeating what others had posted-I didn't take the time to read through the thread completely before posting. :)

Webbed you omitted the bonus of at least 90 minutes of world class humor in most classes. :)

Point taken...guess you should bring that up with the AQB. Some students do know far more than the instructors but they just don't have the time or energy to stand before a group to present the information. I have been saying the same thing about church...could get the message over in 10 minutes if they left out all the singing and jokes!

As a former teacher this thread is depressing.

There is always something new to learn. I learn something new every time I take the 15-hour USPAP course (even though I'm not required to take it, only required to take the update). I took some new courses from McKissock online, which were very informative. Income courses-always something new, or something to improve on in those.

Perhaps you all need to look for better C.E.

The AI offers excellent online courses. I especially liked the seminar by William 'Ted' Anglyn, MAI, on operating statements for commercial properties.
