I've only received notification from one (Clear Capital) that I've been removed.
Although they're supposed to notify you of removal, it's probable that several don't. I'd be surprised if you're still on that many panels, though, since AMC's now have to pay fees - per appraiser - at both the state and national levels...

I'm still on several dozen AMC panels from 2010/2011 days but haven't accepted an order from a single one since 2012...I've only received notification from one (Clear Capital) that I've been removed.
Good for you.

When I was at SL, there was poster who would get on here and swear up and down that he never did AMC work, but he would do 10 to 15 for us every month. To quote Brad Paisley, some folks are just so much cooler online :)

With the new fees that AMCs have to pay, AMCs have a pretty big incentive to "right size" their panels

True...but I still get requests to bid from several of them (which I ignore) but maybe if I did bid they might make me jump through hoops to get approved:shrug:

Haha! No doubt. I still get 5-10 appraisal requests a day, and I haven't had an active appraiser profile in forever.

I guess, this is not really on par with the thread topic, but the AMC model also does not reward experienced appraisers with a history of good work as they still have to "bid" against the new appraisers who do not need to make as much money to survive. There is no career ladder to climb and as a 1-person operation you can only produce so much work. The cure to that might have been to expand your shop to a fee-split operation and bring on appraisers but with AMC fees it makes it almost is possible to do that. Plus many AMC's wan to deal with each appraiser at the individual level, not the company level.

Like most AMC appraisals, a certain amount of excrement is tolerated.
Haha. I'd say that's probably the case whether it's for an AMC or not.

But they do reward this--since this appraiser was named "Extraordinary" by an AMC. While I agree with that sentiment, he is Extraordinary, just not for the reason they believe.

And this was a "simple" one.
