Can Appraiser Appraise His/her Own House?

Just say you are acting as a taxpayer not an appraiser.

Never mind the county appraisers bias. Who pays them?

I have done many taxes grievance purpose reports for my client. But not sure if I can write up one for my own house. Thank you.

I attempted this post mortgage crisis in Cincinnati. I did a nice spreadsheet showing the decline in values. Th tax lady said I had to use a Fannie Mae form! Say what? And to make matters worse every other word on her resume was misspelled. As property values were rapidly falling it didn't matter what the data showed.

But short answer is yes as a tax appeal by nature you are an advocate for yourself .
