Cancellation Fee?

Purely depends on if I've done the inspection. I don't do much until I've done the inspection. Then I typically charge a bill or a bill and a half.

I do charge a cancellation fee. I do all my inspections in one day and spend the rest of the week in front of the computer. There is a finite number of houses you can look at in a day and it is quite an undertaking to schedule them back to back all day long on one day. If I go through the trouble to schedule the assignment, then I have lost that portion of my week that is available for an inspection.

Generally, I charge (and get) from most AMC's about 100-200 for a cancelation fee.

Also, I charge a $50 revision fee. Corrections are free, but revisions cost.

Question for you. I applied for VA 2 years ago and they didn't take me. I have just applied again and they asked for a 3rd reference and sample appraisal. Is that a good sign or typical for the application process?

Sounds like you are under serious consideration. Get it done quickly which will show that you are still interested and get things done in a timely manner.
