China has just won the Trade War

Private schools can and do kick their troublemakers out. That makes a big difference all by itself. That's what the public education advocates fear the most about school choice. If the better students exercise their options and take the student money with them the public schools will get stuck with the slackers and troublemakers.

Unless of course the trouble makers have really rich/powerful parents/grandparents/uncles & aunties....

Walk or drive the route....
Mail bag or push cart....
Baseball cap or pith helmet or no head covering....
Special delivery so he drove, no head covering. My grandfather did a walking route, carried one of those heavy leather mailbags and wore a pith helmet during hot summer days or a winter style hat during the cold season.

My dad started out with bag....
Eventually went to push cart and pith helmet....

What does that have to do with your assessment that only the rich or privileged can go to private schools
In Silicon Valley, Atherton, one of the richest town, in America usually send their kids to private schools.
The nearby local public high school has low SAT scores.
Those who can afford to go to good private schools are rich and privileged. Not saying they have brightest and best.

Just to make your day, they were all Catholic schools, including the university
I went to public schools....
I forget which elementary grade I was in when the teacher broke her wooden ruler hitting the palm of my hand....
Maybe she was Catholic too....

From many of your posts, I would have guessed that your teacher had broke her wooden ruler by repeatedly hitting you in the head, but I guess all the paint chips that you ate are to blame.

Never went to private school so never got hit by a teacher.
One time in middle school, a teacher lost his temper and threw something large across the room.
It was from this annoying girl (she taunted me for awhile until I insulted her and after that left me alone).
Later, we had a new teacher.

Oh....
Thought you were headed for "up your ***"....
