This guy would have to be on something to think that it was close to acceptable. I meant to say when I called the HO to schedule the inspection is when he told me everything was done and that I was going to "love" it. When I went back out there was a new hole in the hardwood flooring on the 2nd level, about 5" by 2' ripped up to expose a pipe. OK, another repair that needs to be addressed. He has defective paint all over the place and I clearly showed a picture of every area in my report and stated that all defective paint needed to be scraped, repainted, etc... When I got there I was shocked. He has a shed/1st area black smith shop that is protected by the Hysterical Society in the back yard. Anyway, there is defective paint on this structure as well and the HO flipped out when I said that needed to be corrected. He said he would just knock it down. Better call the Hysterical Society on that one first.

Perfect, read right over that. Thanks.

Please note that the CIR should be requested by the client, not the homeowner. As a courtesy, you can CALL the owner to confirm that the work has been completed.

The lender is the one who requested it.

I have a dumb question. What is my ID number? Is that my appraisal lisc. number, or some number given to me by FHA. I have never done this form either and am just asking.

Used to be a local number from your local office...

Now just your license/cert number.
To save yourself some headache you should ensure that it reads EXACTLY as per the ASC national registry...
Due a recent audit by HUD's Office of the Inspector General (OIG), FHA must ensure that the license or certification number listed on the FHA Appraiser Roster matches exactly with the number posted on the National Registry of the Appraisal Subcommittee (ASC)

butttttt... it looks like HUD will eventually be moving back to assigned numbers... this may be old news to everyone else but I just stumbled onto it....

looks like EVERYONE is going to have to sign up for a FHAC ID
Update my information
In addition to technical know-how, as an FHA Roster Appraiser, you have certain administrative responsibilities including keeping your personal and business information up to date via the FHA Connection (FHAC). All FHA Roster appraisers must establish an FHAC user ID. blah-blah-blah

hope this helps!

Thanks. That's what I was hoping. I have that FHAC ID number but I didn't think that was it. So it is supposed to be some number that they don't give out anymore? That sounds like FHA. Everything is so outdated, and no one can get the right info. I have a free FHA class next week and I hope it will help, but I am not to confident. Has anyone gone to the free FHA courses, and are they any good. Some of the stuff I pay for is not so hot so how good can free be.
Thanks again Lee Ann.

I don't see a link where an existing FHA roster appraiser can sign up for a FHAC #.
