Clearbox Selling Appraiser Contact Information For Hurricane?

I will be submitting 18 reports to an attorney next week and she will read every word. She does a lot of real estate and tax appeal work. She knows what she is doing.

She will go through them all because she wants to find mistakes or questions before the other side does. You have absolutely no credible experience in this type of work but yet you question it.

There are only two houses involved, one on 74 acres and one on ??? acres.

Especially the guy asking rudimentary questions about attorney work and then questioning the answers considering he has done three reports for attorneys in 30 years.

Smoking pot again?

23 reports. One attorney gets 18 of them. One attorney gets three of them, one attorney gets two of them.

Can you get any dumber????
I bet you can!!!!!

I knew you could!!!! :clapping::clapping::clapping:

Isn't Service Link a member of CRN?
Yes - which has nothing to do with ClearBox.

If you want dues info, as Joan said, just check the web site

Exactly . Nice diversion tactic. Almost had me fooled :)

Looks like several more hurricanes on the way. I will have a Buzz interview with an appraiser next week on how to do them, how to make money doing them. Pretty sure smart appraisers will be appreciating the guidance . And. O he doesn't feel guilty!

Also they are now requiring an interior inspection as well as exterior. All these homes are occupied and everyone wants an appointment at 5:30 pm. It is unlike when it is a sale, everyone is anxious to get you out for the inspection. So I raised my fee 50 bucks over a normal 1004D, due to the pain in scheduling. My fee is the same for exterior only.
Also Ala mode can not make an ENV out of the CDAIR form. The disaster inspections have been a total cluster.
(my bold)
I agree 444nutman, it has been a total cluster. And I, too, have been asked to do a few interior/exterior inspects. 3 out of the 7 disaster report assignments I have on my desk right now are int/ext inspects.

Thankfully I've only been asked to either use the CDAIR (Catastrophic Disaster Area Property Inspection Report) or the 1004D ... BUT ... one client (the only AMC in my mix) can't seem to figure out which part of the 1004D they would like completed - the top "update" section or the lower "repairs" section and then are even saying the lender isn't sure about the lower section if the "yes" or "no" box is the correct one to check .... BTW, they're not too high on my priority list of the 7. I figure if they can't figure out what they want reported, they can wait while I deal with actual competent clients (they're a one off client of mine anyway - so even if they reassign it, no love lost)

1. Is there an expectation that appraisers will do disaster inspections for free?
2. What is the feeling about appraisers who have suddenly doubled or tripled their rates for disaster inspections?

#1 - I definitely don't think anyone, even lenders/AMCs, etc expect appraisers to do it for free

#2 - loaded question, IMO. I do think supply/demand may come into play, but it's a thin line between that and price gauging. Yes, I'm crushed this week between full appraisal inspects/reports and disaster inspections (interior/exterior and exterior only) I'm not doubling or tripling my rates, but I'm also not accepting anywhere near the $50 ones that 444nutman mentioned (my rate starts at triple that fee, but that's always been my rate) I don't feel I'm gouging anyone with my fee. I feel that's a professional fee for the professional report and service I am providing my clients.

Maybe if they didn't wait until after the disaster, possible put some appraisers on retainer for this purpose, there would be no alleged gouging.
