Client over-paid me

If you work differently then I feel badly for your clients.

If it makes you feel better about yourself, I also collect rent from widows on the first of the month. :new_smile-l:

You handle it one way, others handle it differently. Doesn't make you any better does it?

I seriously doubt the borrower paid twice going through the "big bank".

WTF does that matter? The concept that its not wrong if you don't get caught or if its a business that is hurt versus an individual is wrong even to atheists and agnostics. :Eyecrazy:

Much is revealed about a persons ethics. morals, and upbringing if they were to find a lost wallet with money inside and identification of the owner. You just found a wallet and the money inside, and you know who's money it is.

The comparison isnt even close. One is payment for something recieved .. the other is double payment for the same thing, one payment of which you have not earned.
I think the fact that some dont want to return the money speaks volumes about them, dont you?

Id bet both your daddy and mine would be proud of us when we told them we made the call and returned that persons wallet, cash, and all its contents. What you think Mr Rex?

I think someone thinks they are playing Monopoly and passed Go!

I once found a check book and wallet in a shopping cart. I quickly called the lady whom it belonged to and told her it would be waiting for her at the security desk.

We are entrusted with the public trust. That should mean something.

I don't think a Daddy is necessary to have ethics, my mother taught my dad about the deeper meanings of ethos, but thats just the way I was raised.:)

Ethics .. you either have them or you dont and where you got them doesnt matter .. Im just thankful they are there.

Breaking my own "no posting" rule when it comes to this one. Keeping something that doesn't belong to you is stealing. Whether it is from a lender, an AMC, or the cashier that gave you an extra dollar in change. If it is not yours, give it back. The fact that there is even a debate about this issue, whether in jest or not, among "professionals" who are responsible for the valuation of real property is very troubling, very troubling indeed.

Thank you for breaking your rule ... yes this is very troubling because the debate even occurred. I sincerely mean thanks for your post.

One more for the ethical column .... :clapping::clapping:
