Construction crews not showing up

Just wait until they have to move out of their housing because they aren't earning the money it takes to pay their rent. I'm curious to see what happens to rents in Calif if 500,000 "residents" leave.

California population is 39 million so 500,000 doesn't seem all that significant.

I don't know if it is actually happening but it is believable.

I would certainly be doing construction instead of appraising if I was younger. The tools of today in comparison to when I was doing it in my early twenties, make it so much easier.

I had to stop working on our primary residence as our renters gave notice. Now I'm working over there. I have to do it because I can't afford what contractors are charging. They're making bank....

The spaceship Enterprise will be replacing them with MEBOTS, those are the CHATBOTS cousins

I think the percentage of illegals in my state is way higher than the govt admits to. In any case, if all the action in any given market for goods/services is in the margins then reducing the demand for apt units by X% might leave a bigger mark than might first appear. Theoretically.

We need the construction guys.

Pay people and they will come...many young people now going into the trades as pay goes up. Instead of paying people to get worthless degrees in some weird liberal arts oay for then to learn a skill.

I'm all for people getting paid more. It is going to make everything a lot more expensive though.
