Its addressed in Fannie/Freddie's pre-printed certification (#21). The client is free to distribute the report to "...data collection or reporting services."
Anytime you've signed a 1004 report, you've acknowledged that.
So, if you work for Corelogic as an appraiser, and you use their software, and the client agrees to let Corelogic use the data, that's compliant with the USPAP and the signed certification (as it exists today).

The majority of MY clients have nothing to do with Corelogic. I upload my reports to their own portal and they send it to Fannie Mae.
So is alamode going to share my reports to Corelogic without my clients permission? That is the question.TE

The overall push is to drive everything into the cloud...where the data can be compromised and you sucked dry. Period.
I've never believed that appraising is a dying "sport" but this suggests the changes in residential valuation will not be recognizable in another 10 years or so. It will all be in the cloud, you will still be the one with the license to be held accountable, but the rest will be "automated" and you merely sign off on it, or suffer zero work.
Watch. Pretty soon they will be sending out bids on these 30 minutes to complete $50 products as well.Many AMC's are already asking if I want to do desktop appraisals......Hell NO!!
