Thats not bad I knew guiys here that were paying that for one man shop and Costar will go after you if they find you shared with another appraiser as i know one guy they sued as he had shared his access with another appraiser across town -Guess they tracked down ISP numbers from different locations.

I think he meant $2250 per day, lol. They charged us that much for 1 terminal just for Middle Tennessee data here, while in Memphis we got 3 states for 10 people. My old boss got a quote for it recently and his wife got a lower price the next day. You cant even get a limited access just for a big project. They do track the ISPs. I can't do commercial without it but it is just out of reach for a 1 person shop.

I used to have a bare bones subscription a few years ago, until they changed their pricing. It may be good for some areas, but it was just above worthless for where I worked. Local contacts provided much better information.

It seems like the prices vary. We use it as a lead generator. If you are looking for something very specialized it can be helpful. I just appraised a brewery and got some decent comparable sales for it. I may not have found one of the comparable sales if I hadn't used it.

If it was a working brewery, I'm sure I would have needed samples in order to correctly analyze the property.
