Do you have an appraisal website that generates any order for you?

Moh, I have searched for such items and had my site show up for those searches. The designer of the site makes specific changes to it frequently because he says it re-indexes and Google catches the changes. I'm not smart enough to know what that means but I do see the end results. BTW, I was searching a few weeks ago for on-line data about a specific subdivision and my site showed up near the top. So I would say it works well.

if it works well, don't change it. if is not broken, don't fix it.

I guess this is the tag about the index. <meta name="robots" content="index, follow">
I have never used this one but it is there in your website html. This tag tells the robots to index the changes.

This is another one that I have never used <META HTTP-EQUIV="CACHE-CONTROL" CONTENT="NO-CACHE"><META HTTP-EQUIV="PRAGMA" CONTENT="NO-CACHE">
I guess it tells the google don't leave CACHE after indexing. When google vists your website, it leaves a cache that shows when it visited your website and what was indexed

Still getting X-Site orders

Moh:

I understand all your postings, however, I DO have 13 URL;s pointing to the same site...and by the way, you may have mis-spelled some of the county and other features you looked for.....in looking for mine.

Most people type in: real estate appraiser zzz town or zzz county or FHA approved appraiser, etc. I have my site set up to accept ALL those terms.....and add new ones when I discover that I do not already have them.

As far as people looking on the internet for an appraiser, I get 8-10 calls a week and about 30% of them follow through for whatever reason...PMI, Divorce, Estate, Financing, Re-finacing, etc. Ala-Mode even sends the statistics once a month or you can go to your X-Site and check for yourself.

If you have info. that would help, I would be most appreciative as I don't think YOU rely on the Internet as I do. It ALL depends on what is typed in for the 'search' and it's pretty hard to imagine what everyone is 'thinking' when looking for an appraiser.

Thanks for your prior posts,

Happy & 'Blessed' Holiday season to you & yours!

I googled you and got your web site just as you said.

If you google; Charlotte Appraisal or Charlotte Appraiser (return my favor, Please) then we both get hits and helps our overall ranking.

These are mine:

www.CharlotteAppraisals.com

www.CharlotteAppraiser.net

You will see I have two web sites. There is a reason I have two and its because I intend some day to have a Charlotte Appraiser Directory for a annual fee.

Now I know where all my hair's been going the last twenty years :)

I just checked my site's traffic. I have had 173 hits in the last year. During the same period of time, my son's website had over 31,000,000 hits - I must be doing something wrong lol.

I don't think I've ever gotten any work from my website. It's mostly just a storage bin for my CV, E&O dec. page, and a bit about my background. It is pretty :)

I have gotten a couple of jobs from my XSite page though.

appraiser websites

I have a top ranking website for all san diego related appraisal search terms. It brings in about 3-5 estate orders a week for divorce, date of death and bankruptcy. I also build websites for appraisers on the side and will be willing to exchange links to help influence the search engine results if anyone is interested, please contact me!

Thanks!

Bryan

Nowadays unless is FHA or personal appraisal, ppl usually would go engine search on Internet, but most of my appraisals that come from AMCs actually will not go search your company thru internet... I was considering in getting a website but with AMCs controlling most of the appraisal orders, I think it would be a waste of money.
