Does Tech Support Request from Total respond anymore?

Support with total is not as expedient as it used to be. They have really good support though. Once you get them, hold on and ask all you want and even get them to remote into your computer if you need them to. I have no problem with their support and I can keep working while I am waiting now. I have silver support. They have some really sharp tech geeks.

It used to be I could go on chat and chat with a live person. Now it is their stupid AI bot which is worthless. Then I was on the 2 hour office hours and one sits there and can't get a question answered. Then when they can't answer questions there they say, "Call tech support." But people there are waiting for hours on tech support. This is a mess. And I just have a simple easy question. You would think the AI chat could answer it. NOPE.

The GSE's are idiots for requiring 3.6 this soon. We need a lot more time to get bugs out of the system and learn this.

I feel bad for the software providers. They were thrown the Hot Potato and left holding the bag trying to make this thing work from the GSE's 8 year debacle.

The GSEs created Frankenstein and then told the software providers it was up to them to rein the monster in.....at their expense. The appraisers are waving around their pitchforks and torches trying to contain the monster.....cursing the software providers instead of the monster's creators.... whom are drinking fine wine in their warm castles letting software providers and appraisers deal with their problem. That's the way I see it.

I agree this mostly rests on the shoulders of the GSEs. But some of this rests with the providers as well. They sent in their software to "get approved." This led the GSEs to think the profession was ready. When ACI scrapped their program we suddenly see banks getting exceptions. Frankly, the GSEs need to stop the madness and slow this down with more reasonable expectations. The only saving grace is things are slow.

TOTAL does, you mean. ACI crapped the bed and is out. But the rest seem fine. Have you test driven SFREP or the web based options?

No....complete overhaul. The GSEs designed the AMC Pacer.....

I appreciate the sympathy for us software developers, I've been up and down and all around the 3.6 spec and it's quite something. I have respect for anyone who has taken it and made something functional, even if not complete.

So in your opinion, is the spec not workable?

I looked at it. 1) I don't like the sketching program. Stinks. And I don't want to buy the APEX one and pay a yearly subscription. 2) SFREP doesn't have a mobile app. Again that would mean buying another subscription if and when it is developed. 3) It doesn't allow for digital work files. Not about to buy folders and print out paper etc again. Done with that. So SFREP is a no go.

I am also retired and only do this part-time. So want to keep my expenses as low as possible.
