Egress window requirements

One of the first ones I appraised was out in the hills with no zoning or building requirements beyond septic and electrical. The only entrance was right by the wood stove and none of the windows met egress requirements, though you could get out. I included every warning I could think of, but didn't require any changes and nobody cared except that my value was a little below contract. I wouldn't have gone to sleep there with the wood stove lit.
 
I slept in a basement "bedroom" for 15 years. the only windows were very small basement style. People still do it today. I think codes are good, but they can be a bit over done. When the contractor built the deck on my house the building inspector noticed a few places where they used the wrong kind of screws. The had to come back and replace them.

Nonsensical is 95% of your posts on the forum. Glen, you make the stupidest comments and give out some of the worst advice on this forum. Also, I looked up nonsensical in the dictionary and it describes you to a T. Matter of fact you were listed.

Don't worry about me I got many orders in addition to the LGI's to keep me busy. How about you? I worry about you in that basement all alone with no egress windows. :rof: Especially considering your physical condition. OH, by the way, you must be really bored in that basement of yours since they took your license and car away. :hug: Glen, who is bored with >1,000 posts per month Furthermore. why are you on this forum, you are currently not appraising nor on the FHA or VA panel. AGAIN WRONG I am on The panel since 1990. I am fine physically I told you that in 2021 My father st 95 passed away late in year and Uncle Billy retired AI member at 93 year's old and he lived with me. I now still have over 15 residential properties and two commercial strip centers to manage but I am blessed to have two great assistants who have been with us in property management for over 25 years. I have no idea why you hate so much and make up stories which are not true.

So now you are saying you are on the VA panel or is that just one of your made-up stories? This is about the fourth time that you mentioned that I hate you. Why? Just because someone disagrees with does not mean they hate you, otherwise, you would have a lot of people hating you. :shrug:

Also, why do you keep bringing up your Dad and Billy? :hug: Furthermore, nobody gives a **** about your personal wealth, or how many rentals, or commercial properties you own.

Even if it has an egress window, meets local codes, and is typical for the market to call it a bedroom. Do you just disregard what is listed in the MLS for the comparables?
