FHFA said the max LTV ratio will increase from 80% to 90% for appraisal waivers and from 80% to 97% for inspection-based appraisal waivers.

Just as a driveby sideswipe, I would like to point out that it isn't even the lenders or the GSEs that issued this particular fatwa. It was an agency of the Executive Branch of the federal govt.

In the end, whether it's TAF, the GSEs, the Appraisal Institute with their secret meetings, HUD, etc. the politics is what will eventually sink us. We'll see what this election will bring, IMO we will have a few extra years or the final nail will be set.

I'd like to think so but no one cares about appraisers now especially. FHA's racist appraisers PSA plays non stop on a sport radio station I listen to is this even on the radar of anyone in government?
