Getting Social Security and working

He probably didn't notice that, but then again reading is fundamental.
Yeah, I didn't read. What is full benefit?
I just look at the money amount I would get at certain age.
Like reading an appraisal report. Go straight to the appraised value.

You will find your Medicare information (starts at 65) on the same site. You need to register 3 months before your 65th birthday.
You do not necessarily have to sign up for Medicare or SS until you are ready to obtain those products or forced by age obtainment 70.

Once you sign up for Medicare you can longer contribute to a HSA.

Most Appraisers will not qualify but, you DO NOT have to sign up for Medicare as long as you are working for a company that has at least 20 employees and provides insurance coverage that meets the IRS definition of insurance.

The above is allowable without any penalty.

Do not register for Medicare until you plan to use it.

I waited until 67 to sign up for Medicare. Once you sign up for Medicare you can longer contribute to a HSA.

How did you avoid the lifetime late enrollment penalty? I took them at their word. I would have anyway. I was paying $1200 per month for a crappy HMO. Now I pay $330 for Medicare and Medigap insurance.

I just heard about a rich lady I know where medicare would pay for hip replacement but would not pay for knee surgery. I think she could have went to a major nearby metropolitan area and medicare would have paid for it but the doctor would not accept in a small rural town. I don't know if that is true or not.

That's true.. however, if you don't sign up for Medicare when you are eligible, signing up later is a royal pain.

The other thing to remember is medicare takes care of you medical bills. I had the best medical insurance, it was costing me $3,000 a month, yikes. There was a reason for keeping the best that i had for many years. Also, was a tax write off. But that can be a big savings, no matter what. The issue is how much you will live past 75, which is the break even year for retiring at 70. After that it's profit for waiting. Also, in my case those 65-70 years were some of the best income years that i had, which would have taxed my ss because of high income.

You gotta think about this, and look at all the numbers. I live in a poor area zip code, i pay no parts c or d, get it for free because i is poverty poor.

Not my experience. It was easy to do.
