Global Economy Bursting?

I just got back home from Chaphell Hill, NC, at the UNC dental school. I agreeded to participate in a study of a new drug at the dental school. Under the terms of the agreement I will incur no out of pocket expense including parking. I even get paid for participating but just enough to pay my gas. When I left today the nurse handed me my next appointment card and I asked for my parking ticket to pay for my parking. She said, "No way. This is North Carolina. I even have to pay to park on the hospital grounds." This is at University of NC hospital and medical school.
A few weeks ago I heard that Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC which is another large teaching hospital with Wake Forest University, was paying their help with post dated checks and recently announced that they will not accept any more medicade or medicare patients. There is a whole lot of cutting back going our there folks and we are just getting started.
Years ago I was building houses and has two hick red neck brothers working for me. One missed work on day and I asked his brother where he was. He said he had to get two teeth pulled. He pulled them himself with a pair of pliars in his back yard. When he returned to work he told me he would grap the tooth with the plairs and jerk it out and then run in a circle in the back yard to help kill the pain then pull the other one. He wasn't paying any dentist to do what he could do for himself. I think we are headed back to the dark ages.

Next time park here at my place and take the bus on over to the hospital. The bus is free, runs frequently, and stops along the edge of the condominium. My wife uses it daily to go to her job at the hospital. It takes her about 10 minutes to get to work by bus or 15 minutes if she take the car.The bus service alone is worth the price of my property taxes. Parking is quite expensive there. Students at UNC pay hundreds of dollars for parking permits, if they can get a space.
 
Got to do something with all that extra money.

It is sorely needed because we all know gay people are not like normal people and their history is far different from the rest of us. :unsure:

How about just teaching history that is important, and if it happens to involve someone who is gay, black, female, male, asian, Puerto Rican, French, or even Irish go ahead an mention it as part of studying important people. How demeaning it must be to know you're part of a group that is so unimportant it takes a law to cause people to care about history in which people like you were involved. If I were gay I would be outraged by the insult.

Illegal immigrants would be allowed to get privately financed student aid administered by state universities and colleges under legislation approved Thursday by the state Senate and sent to Gov. Jerry Brown.

Brown is expected to approve the measure, which is part of the California Dream Act, having declared during last year’s election campaign that he would have signed a similar bill.

No problem. I'll just pull my car up to the curb and leave it running as I carry the items out in my hands in as many trips as it takes. Of course I would also have to purchase plastic bags for pet-poop instead of using grocery bags. Or I could pile it all in a paper bag to leave on the governor's door step. Maybe with some flames? :rof:

Last night, S&P came out with the most severe warning yet regarding US sovereign debt. It said the US has a 50/50 chance of losing its AAA rating in the next 90 days, and that a debt deal that removed less than $4 trillion in spending may not be enough to preserve that rating.
