Global Economy Bursting?

No more rights to the trespasser or home invader

KALISPELL, Mont. — The last mistake Dan Fredenberg made was getting killed in another man’s garage.

It was Sept. 22, and Mr. Fredenberg, 40, was upset. He strode up the driveway of a quiet subdivision here to confront Brice Harper, a 24-year-old romantically involved with Mr. Fredenberg’s young wife. But as he walked through Mr. Harper’s open garage door, Mr. Fredenberg was doing more than stepping uninvited onto someone else’s property. He was unwittingly walking onto a legal landscape reshaped by laws that have given homeowners new leeway to use force inside their own homes.

Proponents say the laws strengthen people’s right to defend their homes. To others, they are a license to kill.

That night, in a doorway at the back of his garage, Mr. Harper aimed a gun at the unarmed Mr. Fredenberg, fired and struck him three times. Mr. Fredenberg crumpled to the garage floor, a few feet from Mr. Harper. He was dead before morning.

Had Mr. Fredenberg been shot on the street or sidewalk, the legal outcome might have been different. But on Oct. 9, the Flathead County attorney decided not to prosecute, saying that Montana’s “castle doctrine” law, which maintains that a man’s home is his castle, protected Mr. Harper’s rights to vigorously defend himself there. The county attorney determined that Mr. Harper had the right to fetch his gun from his bedroom, confront Mr. Fredenberg in the garage and, fearing for his safety, shoot him.

Everyone has to have government approved insurance or pay a penalty to the IRS for not having insurance. There are exceptions. see below

Most employers will have to offer government approved insurance to their employees or pay a penalty to the IRS per employee.

If an employee rejects the employer insurance, that employee must buy their own government approved insurance or pay a penalty to the IRS.

California's charter schools continue to grow at a rapid clip with more new schools opening than ever before, an industry association said Wednesday.

The California Charter Schools Association said an unprecedented 109 charter schools opened throughout the state for the 2012-13 academic year, bringing the total number of charter schools to 1,065.

Enrollment in charters saw a 17 percent boost this fall, increasing by 70,000 students to 484,000.

"The general population in California is embracing charter schools at whole new levels," said Jed Wallace, president and chief executive of the association. "The public and parents are looking with greater urgency for choices."

Asian economies turn to yuan - Currency pegs surpass dollar

http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/china/2012-10/24/content_15840495.htm

A "renminbi bloc" has been formed in East Asia, as nations in the region abandon the US dollar and peg their currency to the Chinese yuan — a major signal of China's successful bid to internationalize its currency, a research report has said.

Since the global financial crisis, the report said, more and more nations, especially emerging economies, see the yuan as the main reference currency when setting their exchange rate.

I believe Darwin would have approved. Only a complete bozo would confront someone over a romantic triangle in their rivals own home. Confrontation over a woman is an utter waste of time. Let him have 'er. If you don't she'll just jump the fence somewhere else anyway.

which is backed by what else? U. S. Treasury bills...

Yes and no. Trading with the U.S. is conducted in U.S. dollars. Korea trading with China is conducted in the yuan (renminbi). Japan trading with China is conducted in the yuan (renminbi). That was the point of the article.

And now seven out of 10 economies in the region — including South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand — track the renminbi more closely than they do the US dollar. Only three economies in the group — Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Mongolia — still have currencies following the dollar more closely than the renminbi, said the report, posted on the institute's website.

Glad I made it up to Flathead County 8 years ago - beautiful - Mission Mountain Range

Definitely land people

When I die and go to heaven - I am going to ask St. Peter if I can stay awhile in Kali-spell first.

When I die and go to heaven
Mess with Mr. Harper's wife and you'll see Jesus sooner than you want...

The Chinese are holding tons of U. S. money T-bills...and they are investing tons here...and they are also losing their shirt in some of their investments - like Chesapeake Energy's completely insane drilling deals. Not that Aubrey is targeting them, he hosed the Aussies too by selling his Fayetteville Shale to BHP Billiton and Haynesville properties to Exxon Mobil. Petrohawk also shafted BHP in the Fayetteville :rof: that'll teach 'em what "down under" really means.
BP vs. Chesapeake
The dispute — which has been in and out of arbitration, and now looks headed to trial early next year — is interesting in that it reveals that about 7% of the natural gas acreage it [Chesapeake] sold to BP, it didn’t even own the rights to.

Everything I read - China is nothing without the US - smoke and mirrors - dollar will always dominate world currencies -
