New Discovery: NASA Study Proves Carbon Dioxide Cools Atmosphere

http://principia-scientific.org/sup...y-proves-carbon-dioxide-cools-atmosphere.html

A recent NASA report throws the space agency into conflict with its climatologists after new NASA measurements prove that carbon dioxide acts as a coolant in Earth's atmosphere.

NASA's Langley Research Center has collated data proving that “greenhouse gases” actually block up to 95 percent of harmful solar rays from reaching our planet, thus reducing the heating impact of the sun. The data was collected by Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry, (or SABER). SABER monitors infrared emissions from Earth’s upper atmosphere, in particular from carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitric oxide (NO), two substances thought to be playing a key role in the energy balance of air above our planet’s surface.

NASA's Langley Research Center instruments show that the thermosphere not only received a whopping 26 billion kilowatt hours of energy from the sun during a recent burst of solar activity, but that in the upper atmospheric carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide molecules sent as much as 95% of that radiation straight back out into space.

The shock revelation starkly contradicts the core proposition of the so-called greenhouse gas theory which claims that more CO2 means more warming for our planet. However, this compelling new NASA data disproves that notion and is a huge embarrassment for NASA's chief climatologist, Dr James Hansen and his team over at NASA's GISS.

Already, the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has been in full retreat after having to concede a 17-year stall in global warming despite levels of atmopheric CO2 rising almost 40 percent in recent decades. The new SABER data now forms part of a real world double whammy against climatologists' computer models that have always been programmed to show CO2 as a warming gas.

A recent flurry of eruptions on the sun did more than spark pretty auroras around the poles. NASA-funded researchers say the solar storms of March 8th through 10th dumped enough energy in Earth’s upper atmosphere to power every residence in New York City for two years.

“This was the biggest dose of heat we’ve received from a solar storm since 2005,” says Martin Mlynczak of NASA Langley Research Center. “It was a big event, and shows how solar activity can directly affect our planet.”

Dr. Hansen has had some pre-warning of the implication and said last year that he accepted that changes in Solar Activity were a bigger factor than he once believed....but don't worry. They will spin it away somehow. Follow the money. Can you find a University that will accept money to prove global cooling? Nada. Ain't gonna happen. The fix is in.

Agree with Terrel.
Global warming should have died in 2009, but it's the Walking Dead.
A Zombie "problem" that should no longer exist, but keeps beating its drum like an uglier Energizer Bunny.

Better keep the original source NASA page on file -in a safe place-
since it's liable to up and disappear, along with the co-conspirators that made up all the false data that behind this pseudo-science.

Yeah, That's the ticket. It's a conspiracy to ruin the world by
rightist left-wing Judeao-Christian Islamists & their homophobic
gay co-religionistas, pushing patently-false studies, by non-existent pseudo-scientists.

Here's 1st response from link to that CO2 article - helping my conjecture.

"Then how do you explain the holes in the ozone layer that you can clearly see in the photos taken from space looking down at the earth?
Or explain the fact the the polar capes are shrinking at a steady pace. This is steadily documented.
And explain why the oceans are rising a couple of inches every year--- also well documented.
"

"Then how do you explain the holes in the ozone layer that you can clearly see in the photos taken from space looking down at the earth?
The hole in the Ozone was the smallest in 2 decades. This may reflect the reduced use of Fluorcarbons

Or explain the fact the the polar capes are shrinking at a steady pace. This is steadily documented.
The Polar Ice caps have been shrinking since the Ice Age stopped expanding 12,000 years ago. The fact the earth may be slowly warming is not the same as blaming anthropologic activity for it.

And explain why the oceans are rising a couple of inches every year--- also well documented."
The IPCC predicts a [one-to-two-foot] sea-level rise by 2100, with a best estimate [of 1 feet 5 inches]. Yet for the past eight years sea level has been rising at a rate equivalent to just 1.3 inches per century, and sea level last year was lower than in any of the previous seven years.

In fact, "Rising sea level" is often blamed when it is sinking shoreline that is the issue....New Orleans being the poster child for a city that will DISAPPEAR sooner or later. Face it... You cannot keep it above a sinking delta. The Morgan City area is lower and is the river system is the only thing keeping the Mississippi from exiting 60 miles west of its present mouth. Sooner or later a storm will overwhelm the river system and it will go west, destroying everything in its path and leaving the NO tributary without a source of material to keep building up.
Below is the mark made by Capt. Cook in Tasmania in 1776 to market the mean sea level at high tide. It should be under water now, right?

Exempting Congress From ObamaCare

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323335404578445042307824784.html

The Politico website broke the story Thursday morning that Congressional leaders were in hush-hush talks to exempt themselves and their staff from the wonders of ObamaCare. The story succeeded in blowing up the talks, but there's a bigger story here about Congressional intentions that is worth telling.

House Speaker John Boehner quickly took to Twitter after the Politico story appeared, saying that he's not "sneaking any language into bills to solve" a problem for Democrats. He added that full repeal of the law is "the solution to this & other ObamaCare nightmares."

We're told that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer initiated the discussions. Mr. Reid now says he's not trying to exempt anyone from the law. Mr. Hoyer's spokesman says only that the Maryland Democrat wants the law to be "workable for everyone."

Mr. Reid's office says he merely wants to ensure that the generous subsidies in the current federal-employee health plan can continue to flow to Congressional staff once they are required to obtain coverage via ObamaCare's new insurance exchanges. Since insurance companies are referring to the ObamaCare policies that will be offered on exchanges as "Medicaid plus," you can see why Congress wants to protect its own.

OK,

(Sarcasm) These are the benevolent elites on display whom have big smiling faces and ask for your vote.

And these guys get financed by the other elites indirectly .......

The democrats in effect are saying ObamaCare is not for them or their staff. It is Medicaid +, an unworkable plan that can not be funded as it was set up. ObamaCare will cost trillions more than they promised or projected.

2014 will be a spectacular year. :rof:
