Global Economy Bursting?

You seem to be totally misinterpreting my posts.

I am not defending the concept, rather pointing to why the administration would not object based on their standard objection to other forms of liquid fuel. I also offered further evidence of acceptance by Democrats in the form of John Podesta on the board. (I taking it for granted you either recognized the name or looked it up.) Republicans will embrace the technology simply because it works and is practical based on normal market forces.

I am not in any way trying to defend the concept of man affecting "global warming" one way or the other. My point is no matter one's view on that topic, this technology is great news. It is not great because it is "green." The Joule Unlimited technology is great because it is cheapest, most abundant fuel source yet devised. The reason for using it instead of oil is it is simply better at providing the same products. Even if there were an unlimited supply of oil to meet the nation's needs found in Texas, the Joule technology would be the preferred source of diesel and other products because it is cheaper and easier to obtain.

Don't confust us with facts Randolph, our mind is made up. The paranoid must have an oppressor and if it were not global warming it would just be something else. I am on vacation at the beach in NC. The grandson and I wanted to surf fish in front of the house. I went to Wal-Mart to get supplies and the sports dept man told me I had better get a fishing license to fish in the Ocean. Fine is $250. After I purchased the license he gave me a book of fishing rules. I must learn to identify every species of fish and the size limit. Can't keep a trout until next week. If I want to catch a fish and use it for bait I must keep the head and tail so the authorities can tell if the fish was legal bait. I kid you not. The man gave me a catalog and told me to go the NC game and fish site to study up on before we fish. This an just an example of how the idiocy plays out.

PS: Did you see the headlines this morning? Socialist lose election on Portugal and new austerity measures coming like none seen before and Greece erupts in demonstations because the same is coming their way. This is an example of where the idiocy ends up.

The reality of energy policies and the lack of energy are coupled together, along with a non-market based economy. The world has an abundance of fossil fuel. There are technologies that can produce other forms of energy. We prefer to tilt our economy in favor of higher prices for energy. And we see what we are getting.

The economy is never going to be the same since it has been developed around cheap energy. A new calculus will determine whether the liesure and hospitality industry, the auto industry and energy intensive industry will shrink in this country. Any mining and refining will be done offshore. Any petroleum refining will be done offshore. Any petroleum exploration and production will be offshore.

New technology for diesel fuel is great, fantastic that it is competitive with traditional refining of petroleum. However, since the burning of diesel fuel is contributing to global warming and the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that carbon dioxide is a pollutant subject to the EPA regulation, that technology won't benefit this country. Maybe China will adopt it along with burning of coal (pure CO2, no water or use water as a catalyst).

Yes, Europe is getting its comeuppance. And the U.S. will be getting its comeuppance, soon. And economy based upon 70% consumption only grows when consumers spend more money. We don't produce what we consume; we import it because it is cheaper. Why? Because we can't compete. We can't raise incomes so we choose the socialist method of redistribution of wealth.

I prefer the California way of governing; the Global Warming Solutions Act and mandating by law that the utilities supply 30% of the electrical power with green energy (solar, wind, geothermal).

Now try wrapping your brain around diesel fuel classified as solar power. Diesel fuel that does not contribue any additional carbon dioxide so the EPA allows unlimited use. It is a real possibility though I will grant not a certainty. And not just diesel fuel, but many other products that typically are manufactured by refining petroleum would become "stored solar power." It is a technological endrun around the environmental goofballs.

Randolph has nailed it, John Christy (University of Alabama at Huntsville), a former U.S. IPCC co-author, has said essentially the same thing, this is an hour-long presentation but is well worth watching and listening to, he explains the water vapor issue in detail.

Randolph,

... why doesn't someone like Brietbart pick up the story about the "real job losses" last month?

... that is quite a piece of news about 150,000 being lost instead of 54,000 being created ..

.... my friend .... you are quite resourceful in here ......

.... I vote for ............. "Randolph News and World Report" .... I am glad you found this web site ...

This is bogus. Either you cut the total emission of carbon dioxide by man to the prescribed levels, UN or California limits, or the entity will be forced to pay additional monies. Say this carbon atom came from fossil fuel but was burned to generate electricity and was captured and made into algae, which then was made into a bio-fuel and then bured to release the carbon into the atmosphere. What was the source? Oh this carbon is green, just like the green electron from solar.

How does one tell if they are receiving only green electrons from a solar plant in Nevada transmitted by wire to California on the grid, mixing with all those dirty carbon generated electrons?

The same way you can tell which dirty carbon came from fossil fuel versus a bio-fuel once it is burnt and released into the atmosphere.

Except that is not the process. The carbon dioxide along with sunlight is fed to the organism which then secretes diesel fuel. Much like they do with diesel fuel from petroleum to mark fuel for certain uses, a die could be added to the fuel secreted by the organisms. It could be the supplier of waste carbon dioxide gets credit for not emitting the gas supplied for the process. Many possibilities exist.

The bottom line is the technology is unlike any other with the potential to greatly reduce the use of petroleum in a very short timeframe yet it requires no adaptation by end users. You can claim the administration won't support it, but the fact is they are already on board.
