Global warming, so confusing, help me understand.

With the melting of the glaciers, ancient pathogens and microbes are being released.

Glacier ice harbor a huge diversity of dormant or anabiotic microorganisms (Anesio et al. 2017). This means that, even though these microorganisms perform basal metabolic functions and do not multiply, they may reactivate when the environment becomes more friendly.

No one can help you understand.

Understanding is not necessary. A viewpoint is.Screenshot 2024-04-16 122833.png

Well, my understanding is that once Siberian permafrost (8.8 million square miles of frozen dead vegetal matter) starts to melt the 650,000 years of buried frozen vegetal matter will rot and release methane which will warm the earth. Then more will defrost and rot and more permafrost will rot and release more methane. Then we are all really fuct. Like post apocalyptical future. You think illegal immigration is bad now, how about when it's 140 degrees all the time at the equator.

I just heard that there are scientists out there trying to figure out if anchoring a glacier to the land is possible. Before you think this is a worthless endeavor, consider what would happen if they melt, just in terms of how much land will be underwater.
In North America, for example, the entire Atlantic seaboard would vanish beneath the waves, along with Florida and the Gulf Coast. Much of California would also be underwater – San Francisco’s hills would become small islands in the Pacific Ocean, the Central Valley would become a huge bay, and the Gulf of California would extend north, past what once was San Diego. (National Geographic)

Not a problem according the the Big Don. he claimed that rising sea levels would create “more oceanfront property.” Aug 13, 2024

Toro Titan 50" for the win. Love my mower. My boss got a riding EV. Been sitting in his garage, broken, after 1 season.

I wish I got the 60" Titan. I went cheapo and got the 50" Timecutter with the Kawasaki motor. The 50" stripes are too narrow.

I'm more concerned about Global Whining, it's the biggest issue of our times.
F the environment. What do we need it for anyway? Besides, big business and manufacturing will protect it out of the goodness of their hearts.
