Got that vacation planned yet?

If anyone happens to be in the vicinity of Monterey CA the second weekend in July, go check the AMA and World Superbike races at beautiful Laguna Seca raceway. This is an annual trip for me. :) Love the ride up the coast. Need that R and RPM.

They also have a few car races each year for you 4 wheel types. If neither one interests you, check out that coastline. And with me now, WISH you could afford to live here. :( Maybe I'll win that lotto. :o Is that castle place on the cliffs south of Carmel available? Hmm, have to be a BIG jackpot. :|

If you don't make the superbike race, look for me on TV. :P
Don't waste too much time, I'll be in the crowd not the track.
and I don't resemble the avatar thing on the left. Bart :!:

Looks like it's LA in July for a family reunion. Nothing else planned yet except maybe a few camping trips here and there. Now you all have me thinking outside of my normal box. Interesting thread. Thanks!

Greg,

With all the drought conditions, high temps, and little snow pack we had this winter, I doubt there will be snow in July in the Pecos. It will be gorgeous all the same though. I have friends that live there and we camp with them from time to time. One hikes into a wonderful fishing spot he calls Iron Gate (trout). On a short hike near their house one day, we got to tour a civil war battle field and Indian ruins that dated back to about 900 AD. REALLY COOL! Give me a call if you want to get together for a cup o' jo (or margarita) in SF when you're there. I'm sure the hubby and your wife would have a bit to talk about as well (teacher and wanna be teacher  )

Richard,

Email me and maybe we can get together this fall.

We did the DisneyWorld pilgrimage with the kids last summer. It was their first time (probably the last for a while too). We squeezed it all in on one day - from the opening of the gate to the closing night time parade, with a severe T-storm in the middle of the day when we were holed up in a gift shop under Thunder Mountain with a zillion others for about an hour!

This year we're renting an ocean-front condo for a week in Jersey. Can't wait.
